NWSL Live Streaming Update

The full details aren’t in yet, but the NWSL appears to be working on deals to provide a live streaming system for each of the 8 teams.

– Seattle Reign FC announced on Facebook that they will provide HD-quality live video streams of all their home matches using YouTube.

– Last week, the Chicago Red Stars declared they are partnering with Ollin Omnimedia, which will give their fans the options to watch the live streaming in English as well as Spanish, archived matches and an official Red Stars app that will shows matches on any iPhone or iPad.

– The Spirit proved this past week that interest is there. They were the first to steam a match live and at one point had 500 viewers on that stream.

– The Boston Breakers are the latest addition to this wave of streaming options for fans.

We are under a week before the NWSL officially steps onto the pitch for matches where every point will count to get the crown. The teams are prepared, the fans excited and the league is getting this country ready for the next sports craze.
