Norway vs Equatorial Guinea

Second Half:  Close Call

So Norway survives what was a wake up call for all teams.  Parity has arrived at the #WWC.  It doesn’t appear there will be any blowouts.  Equatorial Guinea was remarkable and really had Norway on it’s heels most of the first half and part of the second half.  They should be very proud.  This was their first appearance on the international stage and yet they played with skill and heart.

Norway had a few opportunities and the winner came from 19-year-old #6 Haavi in the 84’ minute sleeping on the back post.

Añonma took a tournament-high 15 shots.  More than all the Norway players put together.  The previous high was 6, by Kim Kulig and Fara Williams.

Final score 1-0.  13,000 in attendance.
