Tickets for the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany are selling well with more than 300,000 already snapped up by fans from across the globe.
FIFA confirmed 50,000 tickets have been ordered since the start of individual ticket sales on 15 September with Australia, USA, Japan and Malta among the interested nations.
Tickets for the tournament opener, the final, the group games involving host Germany and the four quarter-finals have been in particularly high demand.
Sales of individual tickets will continue until 31 December 2010 on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis.
A total of 700,000 tickets are on general sale for the 32 matches in the host cities of Augsburg, Berlin, Bochum, Dresden, Frankfurt, Leverkusen, Monchengladbach, Sinsheim and Wolfsburg.
